REASON FOR LOSS:

Starboard engine damaged over Ede by Flak from Dutch Utrecht Soesterberg-aircraft artillery and abandoned by crew near Arnhem, pilot crash-landing in Rozendaalse Veld. Possibly attacked by Fokker DXXI of 1-II-1.

Burial Details: Friedrich Lassen buried Ysselsteyn, Netherlands. Block M Row 1 Grave 22.
