Pilot Officer Stanley Macdonald Wickham 40773 Royal Air Force, No. 615 Squadron

Took-off on an escort mission to cover a leave boat from Bologne in a Gloster Gladiator Mk I. Serial N5582 of 615 Squadron, and was killed when the aircraft staled and crashed at St. Inglevert on the 18th December 1939.

Stanley is buried in Douai Communal Cemetery, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France Plot Row K. Grave 1.
