REASON FOR LOSS:


Collided with Hurricane P2862 No. 3 Squadron whilst taking off at 04.15 hrs from Wick. Crashed killing all on board - no details as yet available on the outcome of the Hurricane.

Fl/Lt. Price had an earlier accident when on 21st March 1940 during take off the Anson 1 (N9673) he was piloting failed to take off due to a combination of conditions (wet, temporary runway and heavily loaded) also the end of the runway being blocked by a Hurricane and a fuel bowser with insufficient speed the take off was aborted and the aircraft written off.
