REASON FOR LOSS:
The “Ramrod” force was attacked by I./JG26 over Wizernes, two Hurricanes were shot down and six Spitfires from the “Hornchurch” wing were also lost. The I Gruppe CO Hauptmann. Johannes Seifert claimed shooting down three Spitfires, one of them being NW of St.Omer, possibly the aircraft of P/O Hurt.
