REASON FOR LOSS
This aircraft took off from its base at Finmere on a Training Flight, Exact details unknown, believed to have lost power on take-off and travelled some 5 miles south east of the airfield at tree top height, before crashing in fields near Steeple Claydon.

On the 20th September 2008 a plaque was placed near to the crash site by the Aircrew Remembrance Society. Members present included David King, Alexander King and M. Brownless. The plaque was unveiled by the Daughter and Granddaughter of Sgt. Eric Bailey, taking place on the 65th anniversary of this 13 O.T.U. loss.
