REASON FOR LOSS:  

Took-off from RAF Lissett to bomb Berlin Germany, forced to make an emergency landing and skidded to a stop substantially intact, at Arsbjerg some 2 km South South West of Grasten, Denmark. All seven crew members were uninjured and became prisoners of War.
