Remembrance Day Is Everyday

The Peoples War History

History Written Comes Together From your individual stories to a collective memory, built by the people for the people.
Every day, ordinary people share extraordinary stories — moments of courage, love, and everyday life that make each story unique. Online, these memories often fade too quickly, lost in the constant stream of new content. Here every story can be seen, shared, and become part of a larger history we build together.

Your memory can become part of history

The People’s War History Project was created to offer a lasting home for these personal stories. Here, they can be preserved, searched, revisited, edited, and expanded over time. This platform ensures that the memories of loved ones, especially those lost in war service, are never forgotten and can be honoured for generations to come.

Supporting Our Remembrance Work

We are always looking for support in many different ways to help with our remembrance work, including the opportunities outlined above and beyond.

You might be able to help by:

  • Searching historical records at the National Archives
  • Taking photographs of war graves or memorials
  • Becoming a Section Historian—perhaps you have already researched a particular squadron, regiment, ship, or unit
  • Contributing your existing research and historical knowledge to our projects

We provide the website-building tools you need to share your work, including built-in search engines and additional features designed to help preserve, organise, and present historical information clearly and professionally.

We are also keen to work alongside other groups and organisations who share our commitment to remembrance. By working together, we can share information, strengthen research, and ensure that history is preserved and remembered for future generations.

Our remembrance categories include:

  • Air Force
  • Navy
  • Army
  • Home Front

The website is owned and funded entirely by ourselves. If you would like to support our work financially, you can do so with a one-off donation or an ongoing annual contribution by joining as a Supporter or Associate Member. Every contribution helps us continue our work of preservation and remembrance.
