This website was originally built to house our aircrew remembrance work — a place to honor the brave men who took to the skies during World War II and never returned. It began as a tribute to their courage, their sacrifice, and the families they left behind.

Shortly after its first launch, we began receiving requests from relatives and researchers, asking for remembrance of other crews and individuals we hadn’t yet researched — stories from different squadrons, different nations, and eventually, from beyond the air services entirely. It quickly became clear that the need for remembrance stretched far wider.

While the general format of the site remained focused on aircrew for some time, the spirit behind those requests stayed with us. And so, this website has now grown — with great care and pride — to include the stories of those who served not only in the air, but also on land and at sea. The Army, Navy, and Air Force each carried the weight of war in different ways, but with equal courage and sacrifice.

We believe that every story deserves to be told — whether it belongs to a pilot, a sailor, a soldier, or anyone who served during those years. Behind every name is a family, a legacy, and a piece of history worth preserving.

This site exists so those memories are never lost. It is a place for families to connect with the past, for researchers to share their findings, and for the world to pause and reflect.

We remember not because history demands it — but because these lives shaped the world we live in, and because sacrifice, courage, and love of country must never be forgotten.
