Remembrance Day Is Everyday

Acland S. J. D.

F/Lt. Simon John Dyke Acland was born on 20 September 1916. He was the son of Capt Hubert Edward Peter Dyke Acland and Dorothy Marion Thorold. He was captured in Singapore and died in Tokyo, Japan, from pneumonia, while a prisoner of war on the 29th December 1942, aged 26. He is buried at the Yokohama War Cemetery, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. Plot Brit. Sec. P. A. 14.

Allsebrook R. A. P. 617 Squadron.

Flight Lieutenant (Pilot) 62267 Ralf Athelsie Pole Allsebrook Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve D.S.O., D. F. C.  He was the son of George Clarence and Dorothy Allnutt Allsebrook, of Cark-in-Cartmel, Lancashire. Qualified for B.A. (Oxon.). Ralf Allsebrook is buried in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery. Section 24. Row G. Grave 14.

Atkin-Berry H. L. 82 Squadron

On the 10th July 1940 Blenheim IV L9468 (borrowed by 107 Sqdn) and flown by an 82 Squadron crew. Took-off from Wattisham on an operation to Amiens France. The aircraft crashed at Aigneville (Somme) 18 km South West of Abbeville France cause not established.
All three crew were killed and are now buried at Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille, France.
