Flying Officer Clifford Bingham was a Pilot lost on Whitley Aircraft LA814 on the 20th June 1943 over The Bay of Biscay. Here they came upon a U-boat and in the engagement that ensued the Whitley was shot down in flames, all six crew members of the crew are missing and commutated on the Runnymede Memorial.
