Pilot Officer Michael Holub J/10250, Age 25, Pilot of Wellington Ic. HE116, presumed lost over the North Sea along with the five other members of his crew, 14th September 1942. The bodies of three crewmen were later washed ashore; Michael and two other crew members were lost without trace and they are commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.
Sergeant Charles, Martin, Johnson, Service Number R/83461 Royal Canadian Air Force, 51 (R.A.F.) Squadron, Age 21 years old. Charles was sadly one of 7 airmen killed when Halifax II HR783, crashed due to engine failure at Bush Farm, Crockley Hill near Escrick, 6 miles South, South, East of York. We Will Remember Them
