F W Hazeldine was summoned by the Admiralty, Whitehall and advised that he was expected to attend a presentation of medals at Buckingham Palace at 10.15 a.m. on Tuesday13th April, 1943.
Presentation of Medals: 11 a.m. : Service Dress.
A copy of the invitation card is in the gallery, research is on-going to try and establish the award and the reason, and any information would be greatly appreciated.

Pilot, Sub Lieut (A) B A Lawrence, R.N.V.R. of Swindon, Lancs, successfully landed his damaged Grumman Martlet fighter bomber on the Pursuer after it had “chewed” its way through tree-tops while on a low level strafing mission against German transport in the South of France, during one of the numerous operations undertaken from the Aircraft Carrier during August 21st to 26th 1944.
