26th May 2026 - Newly Catalogued Heritage Artefact.

Messerschmitt 109E “Yellow 3” Wnr.4816 3/JG1 Catalogue No. Luft 0063A Label relating to the flaps & speed recovered from the crash site of Messerschmitt 109E “Yellow 3”  Wnr.4816. Artefact preserved from the Martin “Buzz” O’Brien Collection.

25th May 2026 - MIA B-17 Crew Members Recovered in Poland.

2 more WWII MIAs recovered from Poland are returned to families. On May 16th 2026, Edgar W. Nevois was laid to rest in Praire de Rocher, IL. He was one of the MIAs from the 401st BG B-17 „Son of a Blitz” which was hit on the bomb run to Politz (today Police near Szczecin, Poland) on Oct 7th 1944. German flak blew off the front of the plane, the Fortess went into a vertical dive, hit the ground and exploded. 1 to 4 parachutes were seen to come out during the dive, but no one survived. 22nd May 2026 - Newly Catalogued Heritage Artefact.

Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4 Wnr.5395 Stab/JG51 “Winkel Balkan” Catalogue No. Luft 0056A

MG 17 Gun Mount. Aircraft crashed 28th August 1940, the Bf 109E-4 WNr.5395 was piloted by Oblt. Erich Kircheis, Geschwader Adjutant. Kircheis baled out very low and broke a leg, captured P.O.W.

10th May 2026 - New Additions to our Foundation History Section.

Back on the 29th September 2007 we made a Visit to the Crash Site of North American Mustang FX876 on the occasion of relative Kelvin Youngs being taken to the site courtesy of our Chairman David King.

12th April 2026 - New Veterans Stories Added To “The People’s War History Project”

Multiple historic society veterans’ stories have now been added to The People’s War History Project.

Work continues daily—both online and offline—across all sections of the project. Our research remains not only to rebuild historic records and preserve the society’s research and remembrance work, but also to uncover and share new, never-before-seen accounts.

19th February 2026 - Members Section, Records & Files Updated. New System.

Major redesign for our Members Section.

We have been designing and producing our new members system designed to present all the work of our Members, Volunteers and Associates. The system is now up and running, which we will be adding to weekly to tell the full story of all who have been a part of the Society’s history.
